Milwaukee, WI
Powers Realty Group, Inc.
Naples Boutique Broker®

For more than 15 years, Powers Realty Group, Inc. has helped Milwaukee families buy and sell homes throughout Wisconsin's North Shore. Along the way, we began noticing something. More and more of our clients were heading south, trading Wisconsin winters for the sunshine, beaches, and relaxed lifestyle of Naples and Marco Island.

We understood the appeal because we were making that same journey ourselves.

What began as family vacations to Southwest Florida eventually became something much more personal. Suzanne Powers and her family spent years exploring Naples and Marco Island before purchasing their own home in Fiddler's Creek in 2022. Today, Vice President Gretchen Keating also owns a home in the Isles of Collier Preserve, bringing another personal connection to the communities we serve.

Our clients were already asking us to help them find their place in Florida. Opening our Naples office was a natural next step.

In 2025, Powers Realty Group, Inc. opened its doors at 780 Fifth Avenue South in Downtown Naples, bringing the same boutique service, luxury marketing, and personal attention that built our reputation in Milwaukee to Southwest Florida.

Today, with licensed real estate expertise in both Wisconsin and Florida, we offer our clients something unique: a team that knows the communities they are leaving, understands the lifestyle they are looking for, and has experienced the journey firsthand.

Finding Your Place

From One Exceptional Community to Another Finding Your Place in Naples, Florida

One of the first conversations we have with our Wisconsin clients is about what they love most about their current home and neighborhood.

Milwaukee's North Shore is known for its beautiful homes, established communities, exceptional architecture, and proximity to Lake Michigan. Many of those same qualities can be found throughout Naples, often with a distinctive coastal character.

If you love Whitefish Bay or Shorewood, you may find yourself drawn to The Moorings or Coquina Sands, where established streets, mature landscaping, and proximity to the Gulf create a timeless residential setting.

For homeowners accustomed to the privacy, larger properties, and luxury estates of Mequon and River Hills, Port Royal and Pine Ridge offer exceptional opportunities.

Those who enjoy the restaurants, galleries, boutiques, and walkability of Milwaukee's Third Ward or East Side often appreciate Olde Naples, with Fifth Avenue South, Third Street South, and the beach all nearby.

For buyers who enjoy golf, social clubs, and an active lifestyle, communities such as Fiddler's Creek and Isles of Collier Preserve offer resort-style living in beautifully maintained surroundings.

And for those who love Wisconsin's Lake Country, Marco Island offers a familiar connection to the water, with boating, waterfront dining, and the Gulf of Mexico just outside your door.

Every community has its own personality. Our job is to help you discover which one feels like home.

MAKING THE MOVE

Getting from Milwaukee to Naples

One of the reasons Naples has become such a popular destination for Wisconsin homeowners is how easily the two locations can be connected.

Whether you're purchasing a seasonal residence or planning a permanent move, we can help organize your property search so your time in Naples is well spent.

Understanding Florida Residency

Changing Residency

Leaving Wisconsin: Understanding Florida Residency

For some clients, Naples begins as a winter destination and eventually becomes their permanent home.

Beyond the lifestyle advantages, establishing Florida residency can provide meaningful financial benefits. Florida does not impose a state individual income tax, while Wisconsin's top individual income tax rate is 7.65%.

However, changing residency is not as simple as purchasing a Florida property.

Establishing Florida domicile involves demonstrating that Florida is your permanent home. Important steps may include obtaining a Florida driver's license, updating voter and vehicle registrations, reviewing eligibility for a homestead exemption, and relocating important personal and financial relationships.

We encourage our clients to work closely with their accountants and estate planning attorneys to make sure the transition is handled properly.

The Suzanne Powers Advantage

One Brokerage. Two Markets. A More Personal Experience. Selling in Milwaukee and Buying in Naples

One of the greatest advantages of working with Powers Realty Group, Inc. is our ability to serve you in both markets.

We know what goes into preparing and selling a luxury property in Milwaukee's North Shore. We've spent 15 years building our reputation through thoughtful property preparation, professional marketing, careful pricing strategies, and personal attention to every transaction.

We also know how different a Florida purchase can be.

The Naples market has its own property considerations, neighborhood distinctions, insurance requirements, and transaction practices. Having an experienced team with firsthand knowledge of both locations provides continuity throughout the process.

Whether you're selling your home in Whitefish Bay, Shorewood, Mequon, Fox Point, or River Hills, our Wisconsin team can coordinate your sale while our Florida team helps you identify your next property.

We'll work with you to determine whether buying or selling first makes the most sense, coordinate important dates and deadlines, and develop a strategy that works for your individual circumstances.

You don't have to start over with a new real estate company when you arrive in Naples, Florida. You can continue with the people you already know and trust at Powers Realty Group, Inc.

We Know the Journey Because We've Taken It Ourselves.

Gretchen Keating & Suzanne Powers

Gretchen Keating & Suzanne Powers

Fifteen years ago, Powers Realty Group began at Suzanne's dining room table in Milwaukee's North Shore. Today, we've brought that same commitment to personal service to our office on Fifth Avenue South in Naples.

Our business has grown, but the reason our clients choose us has never changed.

We believe real estate is about relationships, trust, and having the right people in your corner during life's important transitions.

For Suzanne and Gretchen, Southwest Florida is more than another real estate market. It's where they've chosen to own homes, build connections, and enjoy the lifestyle they now help their clients discover.

From Milwaukee's North Shore to Naples' Gulf Shore, we'd be honored to help you make the move.
